The 10th “Peking University Graduates Forum of Ageing and Health” will be hosted by the Graduate School of Peking University, and co-organized by the Institute of Population Research at Peking University and the Institute fof Ageing Studies at Peking University. The forum is expected to be held at Peking University in early July 2025 and will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining both online and offline elements. This forum is supported by the “Peking University Graduate Education Innovation Program” of the Graduate School of Peking University and PKU-UCL Strategic Partnership Fund-“Enhancing Mental Health and Wellbeing in Older Adults in the UK and China: Leveraging Social Participation, Family Support, and Community Cohesion for Sustainable Impact”.
Chinese modernization is a modernization with a large population scale.To contribute to the implementation of the national strategy of actively responding to population aging and to improve the basic elderly care service system, this forum focuses on research topics related to the development of healthy aging in the era of longevity.There are no limitations on research perspectives or methodologies.The forum aims to build a platform for academic exchange, foster collective wisdom, spark intellectual collisions, and inspire innovation.Young scholars are warmly invited to “make friends through writing” and engage in meaningful dialogue.

1. Call for Papers–Eligibility:
The forum welcomes submissions from currently enrolled doctoral and master’s students at universities worldwide.
2. Paper Submission:
Submissions must be full-length, unpublished research papers written in either Chinese or English. Please follow the formatting guidelines of the journal Population and Development for Chinese papers.
Chinese-language papers must also be accompanied by a high-quality English abstract, including the title, abstract, and author information. Author names should follow the APA citation format: First Name Family Name.

3. Poster Submissions:
Poster submissions are accepted, but both Chinese and English abstracts and the full paper must be submitted in advance to the designated email address according to the forum’s submission guidelines.
Only after being officially accepted by the forum committee, may the authors proceed to design their posters.
A standard academic conference poster template (A0 size) will be provided by the organizing committee. Posters must display the core content of the paper and presenter information and will be exhibited on-site during the forum.
4. Paper Length Requirement:
Chinese papers: at least 8,000 characters (excluding references)
English papers: at least 5,000 words(excluding references)
Important Notes:
(i) Each author must sign a Copyright Form upon submission (available via the following Baidu Netdisk link or at the bottom of the call for papers: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1dp4d8chIDpmnD5AH9xETqw?pwd=acy2, Access Code: acy2) , agreeing that the forum committee may publish the abstract section.
(ii) All submissions must include a Disclosure of Interest statement in the body of the paper and attach the ICMJ Disclosure Form (also available at the above link).
(iii)Manuscripts involving human participants, identifiable human data, or human tissue must include a statement of ethics approval and informed consent, even if exemption was granted. The name of the ethics committee and approval reference number (if applicable) must be indicated.
5. Paper Publication:
All selected papers and posters from this forum will be published in the form of English-language Conference Proceedings, and will be indexed by CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and/or Google Scholar.
6. Important Dates:
(i) First Round Submission (Abstract): Deadline is 24:00 on May 30, 2025.
Authors may submit either the title page and abstract only, or the full paper at this stage.
(ii) Second Round Submission (Full Paper): Deadline is 24:00 on June 23, 2025.
Authors who only submitted an abstract in the first round must submit the full paper in this round. Authors who did not participate in the first round may still submit their full paper directly in the second round.
Note: Regardless of the submission round, the forum will consider only the finalized full paper. Please submit your final version only after it is complete.
